About Me

My photo
We've lived alot of places including S.Korea, Seattle and San Diego. We've liked all the places we've been, but we like our current home the best! We now live in a great town with fabulous people that appreciate the value of hard work and a kind word. Its tough to find that type of place anymore. So with that said, we enjoy taking road trips, working on our house, growing our garden, attempting new recipes, and just hanging out as a family pursuing new and old hobbies, and spending time with our families. We have lots to be thankful for, and hope to share a glimpse into that here. Visit often, sit awhile and leave a comment!

Surgery for Joshua

So, we are quickly approaching the 28th of October which felt like a long ways off when scheduled back in August. We drove over to Seattle yesterday for a pre-op appt today. The appt went well, and he's all set for his surgery. The surgery will take 2-4 hours depending on what they have to do exactly. This is his 2nd Hypospadias repair, and we are praying that this one works better than the last. Four hours seems so short in the scheme of most things, but to think of my lil man in there for that long is terrifying.... please pray with us that the extent of repair is not that which takes the full four hours but the two. I'm thankful for so many wonderful friends that I know are praying for my son. I do not doubt that God can heal him, and in fact I think it is very possible that God will. Pray with us that if it is His will to do so that He will. A little sidenote that has come to mind. >>>>>>Often as a direct result of working in a baby store people ask if Joshua is my only child. I always respond with yes, and jokingly acknowledge that its not for a lack of trying, thus two miscarriages in one year. I've realized that if we were occupied with another young child or baby, this process would be so much more challenging, and so for that I again stand in awe of God's perfect timing in all things. Our pain from whatever source is not in vain, and does not go unnoticed by the God of the universe. I post an update after the surgery in a few weeks. thanks for reading, caring and praying :)
